This project has been collaboratively carried out with people from three institutions. Twenty five primary school teachers in the rural institution (Institución Educativa Técnico Comercial de Jenesano, Boyacá, Colombia), three teacher-researchers from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia, and with support from the British Council in Colombia. This project aims at supporting rural primary school teachers to teach English in a contextualized way, so that students might feel more motivated towards the learning of the language. It is our belief that if teachers can really account for the realities of the population they are working with, curriculums will easily be transformed and in this way, they can motivate students and achieve national standards
Bertha Ramos Holguín (on behalf of Research Group TONGUE) is the representative of this project.
